The Octo GX is the communication center of your installation. It links the components together and ensures that they work in harmony. Monitoring live data and changing settings is done using your smartphone (or other device) via our Victron remote management portal, VRM, which is free to use.
The Octo GX is part of the GX family of products. The Octo GX is the best choice for installations that have many MPPT solar chargers, as it has 10 VE.Direct ports.
As soon as you connect, the Octo GX provides an instant overview of your system: Battery charge status; current power consumption; the production of electricity from the photovoltaic system; the supply of electricity from the network/generator.
The Victron Remote Management System (VRM) gives you access to all controls and settings for all system components connected to your CCGX, Venus GX or Octo GX. It allows the user and the installer to connect remotely, from anywhere and at any time. This powerful application also makes it easy to perform diagnostic checks and analyze archived information.
The Octo GX can be programmed to automatically start your generator - triggered by low voltage, high demand or battery state of charge. It can also be customized to delay switching on until the end of "quiet" periods, thus avoiding accidental nuisances in the middle of the night.
