The DC-DC Buck-Boost 50A converter is a DC-DC converter intended for charging a 12/24V service battery in vehicles equipped with a smart dynamo. As these dynamos (powered by the on-board electronics of the Euro 5 and 6 engines) do not always output the correct charging current when the engine is running, a DC-DC converter is essential to properly charge the service battery.
